The Division of Cardiac Surgery & Lung Transplantation at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking applications from eligible candidates who are board-eligible/certified in Thoracic Surgery or foreign equivalent and are interested in advanced fellowship training with a primary focus on all aspects of lung transplant and ECMO.
This unique clinical opportunity will provide additional focused training in non-transplant thoracic surgery as well as cardiac surgery with an emphasis on cardiopulmonary bypass skills. The applicant will be involved in the evaluation and treatment of advanced cardiopulmonary failure, retrieving donor hearts and lungs, and assisting with the implantation, evaluation, and treatment of those patients. For a well-rounded experience, participation in both clinical and research conferences is highly encouraged and expected.
Selected individuals will receive a 1-year/12-month appointment, with an option to renew for an additional 1-year/12-month, and a competitive salary.
